The Montmorecy sour cherry is an ancient variety of sour cherry of French origin. This self-fertile variety is of good productivity, of medium vigor and widely used for processed products  due to its tender, juicy pulp and fairly thin skin. The fruit is medium-sized, with red skin and yellow flesh.  It has a sweet and sour taste. Good resistance to diseases and fruit splitting caused by rain. Ripening period: second ten days of June.
