Aphiscout KOPPERT for the biological control of aphids
Scientific name: Aphidius colemani, Aphidius ervi, Aphelinus abdominalis, Praon volucre, Ephedrus cerasicola
ATTENTION:
- Orders for this item must be placed by Monday two weeks before the week of delivery.
Utilization:
Effective for controlling a wide range of aphids
How does that work:
The adult parasitoids come out of the mummies, the females lay their eggs in the aphids where the next generation will form, thus leading to the death of the parasitized aphid.
The first mummies will appear in the culture about 2 weeks after the first introduction.
Product Specifications:
90 ml cardboard cylinder with stirrer lid, 250 mummies.
How to use:
Remove the film on the label from the top right corner.
Hang the cardboard cylinder horizontally on a post, branch or stem by wrapping the label around it and reattaching it.
Rotate the cap so that the small holes are in front of the opening.
Dosages:
The dosage of Aphiscout depends on the climate, crop, aphid density and species and should always be adapted to the specific situation. Start the introduction in advance. The dosages of introduction generally vary from 0.75 to 1.5 parasitoids per square meter.
This equates to one unit every 250-350 sqm.
Environmental conditions:
Aphicout is efficient at temperatures between 16 °C and 30 °C.
Joint Use:
It can be used together with other biological pesticides such as Aphidend.
Storage and packaging:
Since biological control products have a (very) short life cycle, they should be introduced into the crop as soon as possible after receipt.
In fact, the duration of aphiscout is 1-2 days from receipt.
