Carob plant - also known as carob tree is an evergreen plant typical of Southern Italy; It is a rustic plant, very large and the fruits are large pods, called "lomenti", thick and leathery that tend to brownish as the ripening progresses.

The carob tree is a rustic plant, from an evergreen fruit typical of Southern Italy, Sicily and Sardinia in particular that adapts to any type of soil. The carob tree is a very large tree that reaches 10 - 12 meters in height. The fruits called carob or vajane are large pods, called "lomenti", thick and leathery that initially have a light green color and tend to brownish as they ripen. Carobs are indehiscent legumes hanging on the tree that have a very hard external surface with fleshy, pasty and sugary pulp. Due to the high tannin content, the pulp can have an irritating effect if taken in high quantities.

il vivaio da cui ci forniamo ci risponde che le piantine sono da seme e portano frutti, ma possono essere innestate a piacimento

Answer: Buon giorno sig. Vito, Sequestrene Life è in confezione da 1 kg e da 25 kg, le possiamo fornire 5 scatole da 1 kg. Per quanto attiene la sua pianta di carrube a malincuore le dico che non ho molta conoscenza, ma suppongo che come tutte le piante la fioritura è condizionata dalla nutrizione, in genere non si riserva molta cura ne concimazione ai carrubi, sono piante molto rustiche, e forse con un paio di kg di un buon ternario nel periodo invernale, oppure un buon stallatico, potrebbe stimolare l'emissione dei fiori. Condivido con lei l'amore per la natura
