The tensiometer is a soil moisture sensor that has the advantages of a low cost, and an easy interpretation of the measurement.

Composed of a porous ceramic tip, a transparent tube and a pressure gauge, it requires periodic filling with water.

When the soil dries, the water contained in the tensiometer escapes creating pressure.

Question: Salve questo strumento va bene per la coltivazione di ortaggi ? O solo per alberi da frutto ? Posso acquistare la misura da 60cm per averlo più alto da terra e misurare ad esempio a 20 la radice o e’ sconsigliato ? Grazie

Answer: Salve, posizionarlo ad un'altezza maggiore di quella indicata potrebbe falsare il risultato. Lei sa che questo articolo funziona per via meccanica, quindi alzarlo sopra il livello indicato, stabilirebbe una forza maggiore... meglio quello da 30cm!
