Characteristics of olive oil plants:
- Arbequina: fruit is very aromatic, small, symmetrical and dark brown in color.
- Cypress: often used as a windbreak tree, which is why it is called windbreak.
- Coratina: oldest and longest-lived Apulian olive varieties.
- Frantoio: Medium-sized and vigorous tree with enlarged and medium-dense foliage.
- Leccino: produces high-quality black olives with a sweet and light flavor.
- Picholine: Tree of medium vigour, with open foliage; fruiting branches generally pendulous.
- Nociara: Vigorous tree, elliptical leaf, large and dark green in color.
- Pendulum: drooping habit and narrow leaves; The olives are quite small.
- Peranzana: Vigorous tree with an expanded habit. Medium-sized light green leaf.
