Microalgae are single-celled microorganisms that live in water and use solar energy and CO2 to produce biomass rich in sugars and nutrients useful for life, and release oxygen. They have great adaptive abilities to all environments, so much so that they are present in all seas, lakes and rivers  at all latitudes and temperatures.

There are several hundred thousand species  of microalgae, up to 800 thousand, perhaps different in the living environment that makes them different for the richness and variety of photosynthesized. However, all of them have great potential for use  and due to their characteristics we could define the embryonic cells of the chain of life.

Their use in human nutrition dates back to 2000 years ago in China, it was a food alternative in times of famine. Since the middle of the last century, science has begun to take an interest in this world, and is still discovering the great opportunities represented by the use of these microorganisms both for food,  medicine and energy production.

Its use in agriculture is also very recent, the company AlgaeEnergy has developed some products extracted from microalgae with very interesting characteristics. We do not have the tools and knowledge that allow us to define what the mechanisms of action of these products are, we can use the bone

We have used them in a cultivation of strawberries, by foliar and root application, we have observed that:

- They have an evident biostimulant effect, the richness in proteins and phytohormones (auxins and cytokinins) gives them this precise peculiarity.

- They have a nutritious-anti-stress action, the young seedlings easily overcome the transplant crisis, and immediately take on a healthy appearance with balanced luxuriance, useful and necessary for the creation of plant mass and root expansion.

- They have a nutritive-preparatory action for the formation of the plant and preparation of the floral organs, the striking aspect is the balance of the plant itself and the balance of leaves-flowers-fruits.

- They have a nutritive-supporting action on the plant throughout the "conclusive" phase of the vital-productive process of a remontant plant such as the strawberry that has continued to flower and ripen beautiful fruits with bright, consistent, fragrant  colors and with a satisfactory brix degree.

I can say that Microalgae has the answer ready in every phase and situation, it is as if it adapts its action to the phenological phase and to  the particular moment of the plant's life, facilitating the work of the technician and the farmer who must take care of the regularity of the nutritional interventions.

A balanced plant is a healthy plant. A healthy plant is very resistant to abiotic agents, and therefore has less need for pesticides, which translates into an economic advantage, but mainly a great advantage for the environment and nature.

Agri Algae offers a range of products, coming from specialized microalgae, intended  to meet the needs in the different phenological phases of the plant:
